IMO Bowfa is pretty much better most places outside of low defence monsters like bloodvelds and such the tradeoff being the time spent to gather scales. Bow is crazy good in CoX where blowpipe is pretty much good at tightrope and baby muttadile. If you aren't wearing crystal armor blowpipe is typically better.

I’ve read a lot about bowfa zulrah being chill, so people usually recommend grinding gauntlet first. I tried that once I had bowfa+crystal armour and hadn’t finished zulrah yet. Personally, I enjoyed the gear switches and interaction more than the bowfa method.
