Armscor ammo problems.

This is the first time I've used Armscor ammo and I'm pretty sure it will be the last time. At the last gun show I attended I picked up a random box of Armscor 158gr 357 Mag ammo. It was for $15 so figured what the hell, I'll give it a try. So out of 50 rounds I have 5 fail to fire. Velocity was all over the place, the ammo was EXTREMELY dirty to shoot. Rounds were also out of round and/or oversized, which caused an out of battery fire sending brass shards into the top of my hand when shooting my 10-22.

Have you measured any of the Armscor ammunition? If the overall length falls within the SAAMI specification (25.4 - 29.69 mm), the problem may be that your pistol has a short chamber or insufficient leade.

May 30, 2017 · I was working with my 7 year old son yesterday firing the little .22 Cricket using a box of 50 Armscor .22 ammo. After about 40 shots we had one round that was much more like a .22 Mag going off than a .22 long rifle. The bolt turn hard to open and the casing was stuck to the head of the bolt and refused to eject until I removed with my fingers.
